Pros

Decent benefits aligned with companies in similar space: I.e. insurance benefits, education benefits, limited PTO (shared with paid sick time), remote

Cons

Silo-ed business units rather than collaborative, focus misalignment, high turnover, non-competitive pay, new management not aligned with IC needs, management avoids talking to customers during escalation situations, management ridicules ICs, management stresses out ICs by mentioning queues often without assisting to reduce queues themselves, overly customer-focused (even abusive customers) over work life balance and employee needs on front lines, business is focused on giving better opportunities to external hires. Signals that the business is not moving in a good direction: high customer churn rate, lack of innovation (former innovators leaving company), lack of realistic internal movement opportunities.

Pros

100% tuition reimbursement/ PT0 Work from home

Cons

Fast paced training completely rush through, how can you even learn the material in 25 mins sets you up for complete failure! They will put you on the phones so fast while you are still training and you can’t even help the customer with the call, it’s insane I have never felt so depressed with anxiety on a job! It’s one thing to have all the success to do your job properly. Short 30 mins lunch break you are glued to your chair you have to ask to go to rest room give a drink of water, very strict metrics, if you are a prefect robot this is the job for you! My mental health is more important angry customer yelling in your ear all day high call volume lack of training no on board training to enroll in benefits you have to figure it out on your own , low pay decent benefits.

UNFAIR/DEMOTING TREATMENT

Pros

There are no pros. Was told you work only one Saturday of the month. I work every other Saturday. I was told I would work a 9:30-5 and a moth later was told I had to clock in at 7:30 for business reasons and wasn’t advised of my schedule changed so when I clocked in at my normal time I was told I was late with a possible no call no show.

Cons

I used their call out line because I only worked for 15min and had to leave for personal reason and they term coded me as NO CALL NO SHOW when I notified timekeeping and used the call out line. Discover promotes demoting not growth opportunity!!
