      Pros

      The only good things are your colleagues and pay.

      Cons

      Management doesn’t listen to the analysts actually speaking to applicants. Very very strict. You can’t even read a book when there are no calls coming in. Everyone is unhappy in the workplace. There’s no room for growth. Recently changed everyone’s job titles so they can’t find work in what they’re actually doing. A lot of favoritism. So if you aren’t a favorite there’s no room for growth. No work/life balance. Working weekends are mandatory. It’s like classism here.

      It is a good company with good benefits and a strong portfolio

      Cons

      Discover is a reactive company and doesn't spend time being proactive. Because of this employees are always running around fixing problems instead of preventing them. The new employees are not interested in learning from employees that have been there for years. I have seen a shift from a team environment to individuals willing to bull doze over people to climb the ladder. Discover talks a lot of work/life balance but it isn't there in practice. After years of hard work, the opportunities of advancement begin to evaporate.

      Competitive salary and bonuses; excellent benefits; newer facility.

      Cons

      Cut throat, passive-aggressive culture. 25 days PTO that you can rarely use. Senior leadership (Director and above) are not held accountable for bad behavior. LOTS of favoritism. People with poor work ethic will get promoted if they know the right person.
