Excellent workplace

Pros

The engineering team is top notch. Great team leads and team members, with meaningful and honest collaboration between everybody, everyone is super helpful and kind. Stack is relatively innovative, there isn't a ton of technical debt or old legacy code to constantly patch. Decent testing and CI pipelines - rare to have late night and weekend emergencies. Good perks - anniversary dinners, unlimited PTO and pretty good yearly bonuses. Remote work offers a lot of flexibility, which can be very handy at times. Company is doing well, no layoffs in engineering.

Cons

Remote work is not for everybody, it can be difficult to collaborate across timezones and countries, and can get a little lonely at times. Salaries - management seems to have frozen significant raises, and seem to be moving towards hiring people in countries with lower salary expectations (great if you live in those places, not so great if you don't) - however, that being said, the salaries are still relatively competitive.

Pros

DoiT is an excellent place for software engineers who want real ownership and autonomy. Engineers are trusted to own projects end to end, from design through implementation and production. You are encouraged to think independently, challenge assumptions, and propose your own ideas rather than just execute predefined tickets. The tech stack is strong and modern, and there is a clear bias toward solving real customer problems instead of building abstract demos. Engineering decisions matter and have visible impact. You get exposure to distributed systems, large scale data, cloud infrastructure, and real world complexity that you rarely see in more rigid organizations. There is also a strong culture of learning. If you want to experiment, improve systems, or refactor things the right way, you generally have the space to do so as long as you can justify the value. High performers are given a lot of freedom and responsibility, which is refreshing.

Cons

The level of ownership comes with pressure. There is less hand holding than in more traditional companies, and you are expected to manage ambiguity and move forward without perfect information. This can be challenging for engineers who prefer very structured environments.
