Pros

SUEZ is an international energy company and therefore it provides many opportunities across the globe. I like the company culture at Suez. People who are smart, work hard and do not mind taking additional responsibilities are eventually recognized. People who steps up to the plate when it is needed and take the challenge and get the job done are eventually rewarded. The competetitiveness among employees are mild, which is good. People are not just sitting around and doing nothing and they are not also cutting each other throats to be able to move forward. Thus, harmony is well balanced. It is a company to work for if you plan to stick around and keep producing. It ultimately pays off!!

Cons

Although it is a huge international energy corporation, career opportunities seem to be more regional. In other words, if you want to work in Italy, you really need to push it hard. It will not come to your way through HR. Suez is very well balanced and diversifed in so many nature. Even though this sounds to be an advantage, it is disadvantageous since the company is not aggressive enough. Essentially, it is sometimes difficult to stimulate each employee's intellectual curiosity. And the salary seems to be a bit below market average or at best it is at market average.

Management demands and screams

Pros

Engie has an amazing collection of motivated and talented staff that can move mountains. With funding from the larger company, projects actually get built. At an individual contributor level Engie is a great place to work.

Cons

It was terrible to watch entire teams experience burnout as management consistently sets unrealistic targets, make demands instead of empowering/supporting, and look for blame at every turn. If you work in an office with upper management you will be pulled into a VPs office and berated or screamed at every week. The only management tool in this organizations belt is a hammer and you will find yourself on the receiving end more than you expect.

Pros

It was nice to work from home, and they provided all of the equipment.

Cons

From the very beginning, through lengthy training, Engie Impact taught us how much they care about people and the world. I was so excited to work for this very liberal and loving company, even if the pay was not competitive. In 2022, they hired a new corporate leader, for lack of a better title. And that's when they started outsourcing a large % of positions to the Philippines. I don't know what they are being paid and whether or not it is enough to live on in the Philippines, but it is obviously astronomically lower than we were being paid. They laid off many people, as they told us "attrition was lower than expected." And they were bragging about how large the raise would be for us in March of 2023. But an employee who had been working there for 5 years got a raise of around $0.90, making their hourly wage around $18. And that employee now has a LOT more responsibilities, due to the fact that they need to take on all of the extra work, including fixing the MANY errors that occur regularly due to many of the employees in the Philippines knowing very little English.
