Pros

Decent salary and benefit package.

Cons

Nothing discussed during the interview was true/correct. Material condition of plant is deplorable, no Preventative Maintenance program, the plant is run from the bottom up as the management staff continues to drop the ball. Safety is a major concern. Components are not identifiable outside of a tribal knowledge system, making the LOTO system unsafe at best. Structured training does not exist further jeopardizing safety and reliable operation. There is a large turnover of the workforce at this facility (Northeastern Power Company)

Pros

Being the largest independent power producer bears both pros and cons. The deregulated supply subsidiary in North America is 3rd largest and growing rapidly. Great place to be now and likely the best place to be in a few short years. Also many opportunities across natural gas and other segments of the industry abroad.

Cons

No opportunities at this time in the deregulated natural gas space.
