Pros

Remote, they say they give high pay (check cons)

Cons

This is a job portal not company. You have to give endless client interview. Client rejects for trivial reason like he don't understand your accent. And if you don't clear 3 interviews they fire. HR will never reply. You will get tired by sending mails and wait till eternity but HR will not reply. There is no culture. They run it like an agency. Most important there are no projects.

Pros

1. Opportunity to relocate to USA 2. A lot of internal resources for a self - education 3. A lot of customers from Fortune 100

Cons

1. EPAM retains on a bench only 2 weeks after COVID-19 crisis. There are 2 options - lay off or furlough. This happen at least in south states like Texas, Louisiana where a lot of oil and gas businesses affected 2. Comparatively low salary 3. Low annual bonuses and no salary review. I got 4% annual bonus in April 2020 comparatively of annual salary 4. No stock options. A few colleagues have been proposed company stock when they decided to leave EPAM 5. Hard change a project or switch career. It is easy to change employer. otherwise you can spend even years for your rotation especially if you are at L1

Pros

None. Had to waste atleast 5 words because we have to write minimum 5 words in this section

Cons

I will run out of word limit. But here are the major ones: 1. Till the day you are billable, you are in good books. When you are released from the project, you are treated like a liability. Your manager starts shouting in front of others that - your job is not safe. 2. In some instances I have observed immediate termination as soon as a person got released from project 3..There are no project assurance. 4. Short on client. What ever clients they have they can't keep them for long 5. Rude Managers 6. The biggest client they have in Pune is MasterCard. Due to internal mismanagement - they have even managed to alienate some senior people at Client side. 7. This organisation is the very definition of being insensitive to employees and their personal troubles. 8. At best this organisation can be labelled as a Staffing agency. 9. Perhaps the only organisation that gives client side allowance and takes it back from your salary. 10. If you join, don't be very friendly with you Manager. They know your weakness and hit you right on that weakness.

Thank you for your feedback. It’s unfortunate to hear that you are facing some challenges. We take the feedback from our associates seriously and work towards building a healthy workplace. Glassdoor reviews are anonymous, but if you would like to talk more about it, please email at Shashikanth_bondugula@epam.com/reach out to me directly and we can discuss further. Being a services organization, as part of our operating model, it is imperative to have a bench as we service many clients and do not have the luxury to opt for Just in Time hiring. And we take complete responsibility in providing opportunities to people who move to bench either through a skill set match or provide support to upskill or reskill based on the project need. We believe that good people Managers are a critical element in talent engagement. To this effect, we provide the opportunity to team members to provide feedback on their managers every six months. Based on the feedback, Managers are enabled through coaching and training programs, to work on the gaps identified. We as EPAMers believe in Transparent, Empowering, and Inclusive culture. We follow an open-door approach where anyone can raise questions/share concerns with Directors/Line Managers/Program Managers/HRBP through multiple forums available for associates: Whats Going On, Voice of EPAM-anonymous platform to express concerns, Townhalls, People Leadership Effectiveness Surveys, Associate Experience Surveys, Monthly connects, Team connects, HRBP connects that happens through a set cadence. We believe in high performance and therefore leads, Managers are enabled to support people who are struggling to perform to EPAM expectations (behavior and capability wise). And if there is no improvement then we handle such scenarios under poor performance category. I believe this is an industry-standard. Regarding client site allowance, it’s a benefit provided for those who work at client location and there is no question of recovering through salary. We believe there is always a scope for improvement, and we will work on the feedback shared by you to build a people-friendly organization.
