Pros

The pay seemed good until you figured out what you have to do for it. New products are nice and well featured. Some really outstanding people.

Cons

Politics. CYA culture, Senior team ("LT") are bullies. Your job is to make the senior team happy, not run the business. And to be clear, running the business and making the senior team happy are completely different things in the case of Elux NA. Lack of competency to succeed on ambitious projects...too much work falling on too few people.

Dunning–Kruger Effect at its best

Pros

Great products. Lovely Swedish heritage. Flexible working hours. Large pantry.

Cons

Incompetent leadership with Dunning–Kruger syndrome - the high-level management's cognitive bias of illusory superiority isn't the worst, it's their inability to recognize their lack of ability. This appears to be across almost all functions. Imagine the audacity to celebrate their (often embarrassing) performance with minimum level of proficiency. The best part is the management bragging about "diversity" while practicing racial discrimination. In this day and age, white privilege is admittedly achieving normalcy, but it's a whole new level in Electrolux. Being Caucasian (especially Eastern European) you can, over and over again as results have shown, get away with poor performance.

No Experienced Management and Hostile Work Environment

Pros

I experienced a lot of freedom in my day-to-day. But that's because of the cons.

Cons

No accountability. No career development. No mentoring. No recognition. No game plan. After 3 years of investing my time with this company, I don't have much to offer my new employer. Because I didn't feel like I was valuable to my manager, responsibilities were not outlined, I had no idea what my coworkers really did and vice versa. We did not work together as a team and there was a hostile work environment. There was also unprofessionalism from poor communication skills and inappropriate communication. In addition, there was some sexual harassment happening but any type of conversation to HR led to nothing but retaliation to the reporting employee and you were left with constant anxiety. Hiring practices were questionable--some employees had to run through series of corporate type interviews including making a presentation. While others were hired after one interview revolving around personal hobbies. Another employee was hired for a role in which the employee would preferably have an MBA, yet this hire didn't not have a Bachelor's degree. They are lucky they have not yet been sued.
