Pros

*Different studios are different, this is just my experience in my studio - Pays above industry average - Has a lot of perks, potential for stock/bonuses depending on studio/company performance - Executive management is working on making it a better place across the organization EA gets a lot of crap from the outside, but overall as an organization they do a decent job and are genuinely taking steps to make things better from a corporate level

Cons

- Some studios could do a better job managing people and being honest with their project's statuses - There are some 'stars' who become detrimental to their teams because of personalities and ego - Their healthy snack selection is limited

Pros

Salary and benefits are incredible. Being part of such big games is exciting

Cons

The marketing team is a shambles, where conference calls involve 50-60 people and decisions are made based on which ideas have the least number of objections, not what makes sense. There are so many silos and levels of management that no one makes an impact. People are rewarded for getting mediocre results despite the company, rather than for improving how the company can achieve things across the board. Sexist comments and jokes are common.

Pros

Most of the colleagues are interesting and fun to be around Free icecream Pay is ok

Cons

No progression possibility whatsoever based on competence/ quality If you are not a yes man and question things managers will make your life miserable All key positions are from Irish people although there are over 12 nationalities here and many professional, competent and experienced people among them, many positions did not even opened and were given, surprisingly many of those people were either relatives or boyfriends/ girlfriends of managers Its a gaming company but you have no gaming time at all, wanna know your product use your free time Moral is low, several people have left only a few months after arriving many others are just waiting for an alternative No concern about customers, only superficially to please higher management and present figures that will boost stocks and their bonuses Break/ lunch hours are completely random and sometimes you can work for 5/ 6 hours without having lunch Canteen prices are high
