Pros

People care about you as a human being and not as an employee, they really take the motto "We develop people rather than software" seriously. Work/life balance is also great. It is very rare to work overtime, and this happens because their software engineering methodology process is THE BEST I ever saw. That's why CI&T is growing quickly. The C-levels vision is something I only see in big tech companies. Also, they do not give up on you. Firings are EXTREMELY RARE. I can count on my fingers the times I saw people getting fired there. If you are underperforming. they move you to another project, they give you time to self-develop, they give you everything you need to get back on track, and this also happens because of the process. Finally, I don't know how is it going to be when offices are fully open but before the pandemic life at the office was awesome. Amenities, treaties, parties, events, did not save on resources to make the life of the employee better. I felt happy to go to work, it was really something else.

Cons

Because they are growing A LOT and also hiring a LOT, they're losing that personal touch with everyone. Back when I was hired in 2017, everyone was known, and it was awesome because it was already a company with +1,000 employees. However, now they have almost 4,000 and you feel like an ant in a huge environment. Also, they say that they excel at giving feedback and meritocracy, but this is not true. I got an overseas assignment but it was more about knowing the right people than the merit of my part. They built a new "Prisma" floor at their Belo Horizonte branch and ALL the overseas opportunities were granted to people that were working in the contract which teams were placed on the Prisma office, the so-called "international contracts". Favoritism happens ALL THE TIME. If you don't know the right people you will work there for years and your promotions will take a lot of time, even if you take ownership of your career. Finally, I mentioned the great atmosphere of the office, and all the benefits and off-hours parties that happen, which brings great synergy and makes you want to go to work, but after the pandemic started, they failed to transition these benefits to the home office atmosphere. Compensation is below Brazil and Belo Horizonte's salary averages. There are other companies that are paying DOUBLE on the same roles and levels. It was easier to ignore it before the pandemic because of the in-office benefits.

Pros

- Worked with some capable individual contributors - Exposure to client-facing consulting work - Opportunity to work on a variety of projects

Cons

- Communication from management was consistently poor; it was often unclear where I stood or what to expect next - Project management was weak, resulting in a poorly run engagement that ultimately failed - Very little notice was given when I was removed from a project - Bench period was extremely short (approximately two weeks), creating constant job insecurity - Entire US-based team on the project was eventually let go, indicating limited long-term commitment to US employees
