Like many reviewers here, I originally worked at Somo. We were acquired and had around 1 - 1.5 years of transition time which was minimal impact. Once we fully combined the real problems started. A flood of stealth layoffs caused widespread fear and panic. Information was haphazardly presented in a rather tone deaf manner. Digging into previous acquisitions this seemed par for the course. It's perhaps expected but these layoffs seemed heavily squared at the acquired company whilst people where shipped over from Brazil to take over. This left a rather sour taste.
If you want to progress here you need to be very bought into the "CI&T" way, technical competence and strong delivery is not enough. Unless you are billable and constantly selling to the client, you will struggle.
If anything happens to your active client you will, despite any suggestion otherwise, be on borrowed time. You will effectively have to find and interview for your job internally.
Pay and bonuses (if paid at all) where substandard to the market.
