FDM gets you a foot in the door at companies that maybe wouldn't look at your CV

The mandatory training is not of much value, many of the courses were of shocking quality. We the group complained we were just ignored. FDM know you need them to get a job so just do whatever they want to do. 20 days holiday but 3 have to be taken over Christmas so only 17 avaiable for the rest of the year. Sick pay even after one year's service is 4 days at full pay- and then Statutory Sick Pay for the rest of the time...about £20 per day!
