Management are a 'buddys' club - your face must fit and you must bow to the leader
Zillah stated recently - ' we never forget that buying a business is all about the people - the biggest asset of all' - but the people in charge including her do not hold people in high regard at all. You are just a number, part of the M&A machine, you can and will be replaced at the drop of a hat.
CEO brings family and buddies into the company and have no interest in the staff below them, cashing in massive amounts of shares along the way.
Unlimited PTO is an absolute fabrication to make it look like they are part of the American way / Silicon Valley. There is no such thing. They don't support compressed hours, remote working for flexibility and want you in the office 3 days a week. There are also fixed 'core hours' where you are expected to be available, which throws flexibility out the window. Where does unlimited paid time off fit into that plan? Why cant I do compressed hours but I can take 4 days a week off? Look at your own policies.
There's a reason why there's over 200 roles available at the moment. Put your time, effort and mental health elsewhere, not into these soul destroyers.
