Good Company, but getting too bureaucratic of late - Anonymous employee Gerdau Employee Review

Becoming more interested in management reporting than making steel and serving customers. There is a tremendous push to complete all of the management systems work, but there are not enough people to do it all. Some new initiatives such as shared services do not seem to have been well thought out. If I now have to fill out a form and submit to another something I used to type directly into the system - how does that save any money?
