Pros
I come to work every day for 3 reasons: 1) I get to work on cool, inspiring brands, 2) I am surrounded by people who are smart, fun, and hardworking, and 3) I’m able to make an impact internally and within our industry as a media company that does good. Since we were acquired by PMC, we now have new opportunities to collaborate with well-known sister brands, we have a nice new office, and we have a cafe with free snacks and the occasional celeb sighting. It's really a great place to be for anyone motivated by entrepreneurial, pro-female environments.
Cons
The pace is not for everyone -- we are all-in, all the time. This requires everyone to be both strategic & tactical, which is rewarding, but sometimes hard to balance. And because both our business and the digital media industry is ever-changing, we are constantly evolving. This creates amazing opportunities (especially for those who step up/lean in), but it can also make some people feel like they are left behind (especially outside of the NY office), if they aren’t as engaged.
