Pros

1. Competitive salary 2. Product is indeed very good if not the best concerning enterprise service management 3. MacBook is nice 4. Some colleagues are indeed very smart and helpful 5. If you can deliver the numbers you´re career will advance very fast

Cons

1. Regular silent firings. If you survive one or two years you´re good and/or very lucky. The bar to get in is quite low so if after a few months they figure out that you don´t meet their expectations they just fire you. 2. Micromanagement like you have never seen before 3. Political cliques. If you don´t have the support of one of the powerful ones and you don´t deliver your numbers you´re toast. 4. You can delete life from work/life balance 5. HR is only the hire/fire department. Don´t expect anything else from them.

Pros

ServiceNow had a differentiated platform and products. Early on the culture had a startup energy that was rare for a company this size collaborative teams, ownership, and a sense that people actually cared about outcomes. Working with large enterprise customers on complex workflows was interesting work.

Cons

The ServiceNow I joined was a different company. As headcount increased, so did the bureaucracy, layers, and friction that rewarded politics over execution. The layoffs of the last few years were handled poorly little transparency, inconsistent communication, and decisions that felt made far above with little thought for the people affected. The "cost optimization" messaging rang hollow against continued executive spending. For a company that sells workflow and people process tools, the irony of a chaotic RIF wasn't lost on anyone in the field or on customers. Leadership political dynamics were real. The right team, the right manager you had cover. Performance alone didn't protect you.
