Service management do not care about their employees. You are out there on your own with minimal support. Customer service lies to customers to get them off the phone and drop it on the technician. Even when there is no problem at the customer's end, customer care tells them there is and will send someone. Management cares only about numbers and gives you very limited tools. You are expected to perform optimal when everyone else makes your job difficult. No team work. No real training. You learn on the job and if you want to advance, you have to take unpaid courses on your phone (no computer) that have very little to do with your work. Every tech wants to get out of service but management makes it difficult. Add fiber and security to your job description ( more work) but no pay raise. Hillsborough county has the worse management. Dispatch doesn't help you and do things to the techs on purpose to screw with them if they don't like them. Management knows and don't do anything about it. They still blame the techs for everything. Routing is awful. You drive more than you work and they expect you to be on time and do everything right at the job. It is exhausting mentally and physically. Especially on 10 hour shifts which turns into 12-13 hour shift. You are obligated to stay after the end of your shift most of the time but HR will not answer the question if it is legal or not. The company has grown so much that they don't care about employees or customers. Unless customers are VIPs. Management watch every move you make waiting for you to do something wrong. You only hear the bad things about your performance, not the good things customers say about you. Management only care of keeping their jobs through good numbers.
