Pros
Pay is competitive Benefits are top notch
Cons
Toxic or really no culture. Top down management. My manager had no idea how to be a manager. Did not help set goals, train me, or set expectations in the slightest. Broken communications from myself to my boss to my VP. The people that work there just genuinely do not seem happy. Basically no team events or team building it’s a very individualistic work place. You are just a cog in a wheel and they will replace you in a heart beat if you do not play the favoritism game and fall in line. I was promoted then my VP began to slowly change the responsibilities of my job saying it was “for the best of the company.” I was then called into a meeting with that same VP and a member of our HR team and offered a severance package over a virtual zoom call after 3 years. My direct manager had no idea this was happening. Some teams come in at 7am, some teams come in at 10am, some people wear sweats, some people wear suits. Standards and guidelines are set by your individual hierarchy. Frownded upon if you’re a few minutes late or offline if Skype for too long. Micromanagement to a T. Handled COVID very poorly keeping us in the office for months after everyone was working remote, freaked out sent us all home and gave us 15 days of COVID flex time which was frowned upon to use, and then rushed certain teams back into the office. You would think a telecom company would have a game plan for remote working. It just isn’t s great place to work. There are so many better companies out there to grow a career that actually care about you as a person.
