Pros
Some new energy late in the year; hopefully it stays. Career path seems to be a big deal, which is good. Creative environment, yet messy. A lot of autonomy (which can be bad). Bagels. Free toys and an additional day off because of a Canadian holiday.
Cons
Zero executive management and leadership in the Los Angeles office; Toronto execs come once a month, if that, and stay in meetings then dish out change or orders like a bull in a china shop. Top heavy; many directors and several VP's but no real leader on-site. Seems like accountability is nonexistent and rules & guidelines are ignored, not even broken. Poor communication between management and staff and between colleagues. There is a sense that anyone that's not a Director, is a peon. Accounting is usually always late to pay bills; no on-site accounting or payroll. HR seems disorganized.
