Pros

.Work Area .Cafeteria .Some of our Colleagues .Number of official holidays are better than other industry peers

Cons

.When onboarded as an IT Consultant, You are treated as an untouchable and asked to work on roles which are in out of scope. .When I was onboarded, I was told I will be working with other managers to formalize the support activities on par with their global team members. Unfortunately, I was made to work on revisioning documentation when my scope was work was stated I will be responsible for the end to end project management. .During my opportunity with the organization, I never got an opportunity to work on what was mentioned in my scope of work. Even when I stepped up and said I would like to bridge the communication challenges between onshore and offshore peers, They brushed aside my feedback and asked me to keep my mouth shut (the manager whom I reported to stated the exact same words) .They always looked down upon me and stated they were paying 5 times my salary to my parent company and I was not fit working for them (While I was just 2 weeks into the work).

Pros

Working at Unilever in Raeford offers strong overall benefits, including good pay for the area, solid health insurance, retirement options, and additional perks like tuition assistance and employee discounts. The company provides a stable work environment as a large global organization, with opportunities for career growth and skill development in a modern, well-maintained facility. Employees often highlight the team-oriented culture, supportive coworkers, and clean, safety-focused workplace. Overall, it’s considered a reliable employer with good work-life balance and long-term career potential.

Cons

Working there can involve long hours and rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, which can make work-life balance harder depending on your role. The job can also be physically demanding, especially in production or warehouse positions, requiring standing for long periods and repetitive tasks. Because it’s a large corporation, there can be strict policies, less flexibility, and slower decision-making. Additionally, while growth opportunities exist, advancement can sometimes feel competitive or slow without the right connections or timing.

Pros

Great people, strong brands, and a lot of ownership. I’ve had opportunities to manage large spend portfolios, lead cross-functional projects, and work with teams across Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and R&D. The company invests in development and provides exposure to senior leadership that can help accelerate your career.

Cons

Performance and rewards don’t always feel aligned. High performers can sometimes feel underappreciated, and career advancement can be slower than expected due to organizational complexity and internal politics. Decision-making can also take longer than it should because of the number of stakeholders involved.
