Slower-rolling death spiral than most similar companies, could even recover. - Senior Representative Whirlpool Corporation Employee Review

Pros

This job will pay the bills and, technically, offers advancement opportunities. If it's remote, it's worth it if you need a job. If you get in as of May 2026, you might even be able to stick it out long enough to see if they address any of the issues they have.

Cons

Whirlpool was, as of me leaving, fully embracing the AI death spiral. They have committed themselves fully to trying to solve their chronic turnover issue by investing in everything but adding more budget to get more employees. If you interview for this position, make sure to ask if the person who you are replacing 1) left with more responsibilities than were part of their role's scope at the start (clarify that you, of course, mean after they were fully trained) and 2) if their pay increased as a result.

Pros

Strong brand recognition and quality products. A bunch of great people.

Cons

Cult-like relationships: if you didn't grow up in Benton Harbor...Your boss did. I was recruited based on more than 25 years of multifamily housing experience and long-standing industry relationships. After joining, I discovered a substantial portion of my responsibilities involved government and commercial laundry accounts, which were not my area of expertise and were not what I expected from the interview process. The company appeared to place greater emphasis on standardized account management than leveraging established customer relationships and industry networks. For professionals hired because of their market knowledge and connections, this may be frustrating.
