Pros

Great medical benefits; Major CTC is fixed; Clear exams to be eligible for Onsite/Promotions, helping in making process a bit more transparent but totally depends on the project requirement;

Cons

Many cons during initial phase of Wipro; This is the feedback of Pune office, not sure about other location, you won't be getting induction on your first day, you will be asked to be at 8.30 but the HR will be arriving couple of hours later which gives you a glimpse of the process. For simple desktop you will be waiting for 3-4 weeks after raising request and that too after three to four follow up mails. On the first day you will be given contact number of the Manager who might not pick up your call for three days post which he will ask you to meet and brief your profile in-front of him, all this is happening without a place to sit and without machines. Enough of bad experience of your initial days, depending on your band it will be decided if you can come out of your project or not. If you are stuck in a project which does not give you growth then minimum 18-30 months you need to spend in that project before moving out. Hence, choose your project wisely even for people working for the Horizontals.

Pros

There are no pros to working for Wipro.

Cons

This company is a sh** show. There are too many managers and less and less people to do the actual work. They have people that negotiate contracts and then expect the company to make money. In reality, most of the time the contract is basically giving the house away. It is the employees that suffer. When the contracts go south, they cut more people. Those people are then screwed over. Be warned!! If your position ends on the 25th of the month, your health insurance also ends on the 25th of the month. Note that the premium you paid, is not pro-rated, justifying the end of coverage on the 25th. You still pay the usual premium, which should then have your coverage run through the end of the month. If they can destroy a person, they will. They want more and more and more from their employees. While they preach all this mental health, work life balance, it's a sham. They have no regard for the well being of the employee, which carries over to the employee's family.
