Pros

- Amazing Food & Benefits - WFH forever - Culture is very positive and friendly but I think ultimately will lead to it's downfall - Been working in the Dublin tech scene for 10+ years and my time in Twitter was the most enjoyable

Cons

- A lot of decision making for product features and content moderation isn't data driven which is why Twitter never grew to the size of Tiktok, Meta etc - The culture is very anti-conflict so a lot of projects get done for the sake of appeasing other teams rather than tackling issues from a data-driven perspective. None of the big problems at Twitter have been solved or have begun to be tackled e.g. user growth, user retention, consistent revenue streams, consistent and fair content moderation etc. - On the policy side - it's a few executives in the US who have been at Twitter since the early days pulling the strings on what gets allowed and not allowed on the platform. This is a huge shame as there are some great people in the Twitter Service & Trust & Safety orgs but they are constrained by these executives and lack of vision and a consistent, data driven approach to policy guidance and content moderation. - The CEO of Twitter should be someone with a business and tech background as Jack/Parag both failed to grow Twitter to the size it should be. In the early days of Google, Larry and Sergey appointed Eric Schmidt as CEO who enabled Google to flourish and Twitter should have done the same. - The Elon Musk takeover has been a huge blow to the culture. Loads of people leaving. People are using WFH forever to find new work and a mass exodus is beginning. Given Jack/Parag's failures I believe Elon is the only person left to make an attempt at saving the company. - The office in Dublin is open but there's only a handful of people using it most days with 4 floors open, kitchen and barista so it's a huge waste of money. Again no data driven decision making has gone into this and the company is not doing well financially. - Very little room to grow in Dublin based roles

Pros

The company offers good benefits and company wide perks.

Cons

The Finance and Accounting department suffers from favoritism, nepotism, and poor leadership. Promotions and opportunities appear to be driven more by personal relationships than by performance, contributions, or expertise. The Accounting Controller demonstrates biased and unprofessional leadership, which has created a culture of low accountability and poor morale. High performers are often overlooked while favored individuals continue to advance despite limited contributions. The department relies heavily on outdated and manual processes that create inefficiencies and unnecessary work. There seems to be little urgency to modernize systems or improve operations. The culture also tolerates underperformance, with inconsistent expectations and accountability across team members. This can be frustrating for employees who value merit, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
