Pros

7cpL fuel discount, 10% of in store when on shift, 1 free regular coffee per shift, 20 mins paid break if working 5 hours or more, if you start an overnight shift but work into day rate hours you will still be paid the higher rate for the remainder of your shift, stock giveaways at Christmas

Cons

Part-time permanent employees do not really get any protections against their roster being changed at the discretion of the business. (unlike Ampol). Continuous annual leave discrepancies, outdated IT equipment. Many departments now outsourced overseas including emergency response hotline, HR, IT, merchandising. You will be required to enter your password every 2 hours in the rostering app, and you will need to remember 3 different logins. When you first join the business, no one will show you where to get the staff fuel discount, and you will be unable to access your payslips for a month or two. You will be required to come to 2 hour team meetings once a quarter, regardless if it breaks the minimum 10 hours between each shift rule. You will be serving a lot of Uber driver customers that get discounted coffee, fuel, and shop items. The POS is absolutely infuriating to use and very slow.

Pros

Benefits are better than most companies - great matching, HSA, pensions, and bonuses. The culture was great too, middle management was a pleasure to work with.

Cons

It’s easy to get stuck in one position if you’re a high performer. Seemed like if you’re good at your job you get stuck there while others get a lot more mobility. The options I had to move were all within the same sphere, great if you like what you are currently doing but not so much otherwise. Also, expect a re-org every 2-3yrs, change can be good but it was often disruptive during my tenure.
