Pros

salary is good, but if you want to stay there forever, and do not mind the winter boring. then it is the best place to stay. Plus every thing is cheap comparing to CA

Cons

It is a farm land, and working there you will feel a sense of retiring in adv. late night working is expected 10 day vacation in a year

Pros

I have full empowerment to do what is right. Epic's company values are to do what's right over what's easy or most profitable; we value our patients, and our customers as the most important parts of our work. The work is important and it does make a difference, and therefore is highly rewarding.

Cons

There is potential for burn-out and stress, but you can mitigate it. Work weeks are not excessive (mode between 45-50 hours), but the work is important and often high-intensity. You need to learn to know yourself to understand your limits and how to stay within them. A time management system that works for you is important to lower personal stress and allow you to manage tasks without burn-out.

Pros

Because Epic Systems has industry leading pay your co-workers will be smart and motivated. It's a great place to start working right out of college because many of your co-workers will be around your age and since so many people are being hired you'll have a whole group of people in your same situation.

Cons

You will be expected to work long hours. A 40 hour work week is almost unheard of at Epic. If you want to advance in the company you will be working 55+ hour weeks. The CEO said she didn't like the term work/life balance and preferred thinking of it as work/life integration. If that's not a warning sign I don't know what is.
