Pros

+They're hiring and the salary isn't bad for a first job. It's not great either. +They're streamlining/consolidating patient health information, i.e. they're getting hospitals off paper records and patient health information is becoming easier to access and track because of what they do. +They're slowly growing internationally.

Cons

+They overwork you. +Hard to be passionate about doing a good job here. +Travel is never glamorous. +Senior project managers take a hands off approach to new-hires' growth. It was difficult to know what were important takeaways from classes regarding the software configuration, from classes regarding the hospital billing industry, and from customer meetings. +My manager had been at Epic 1 year longer than I had. His perspective was short sighted, and he didn't know how to provide useful advice.

Pros

Food is great and relatively cheap. Management is pretty hands off if you do your job right. Make your own hours and wear whatever you want.

Cons

It can quickly overwhelm you if you don't find the right balance between work and home life.
