Good first job

Recommend
Business Outlook

Pros

Relaxed environment, free popcorn and juice, lots of opportunities to grow, build great relationships with customers, support an important cause.

Cons

Job can get stressful, the training process is more involved that you are lead to believe up front, you are given your first customer while still in training usually, so it feels like trial by fire.

Pros

Good Benefits, Responsibility right off the bat, dynamic environment, nice digs. Great way to cut your teeth in the project management role. Nice bonuses

Cons

Too much travel, inconsistent direct leadership, little long term advancement prospects beyond basic. In the project management hierarchy, you basically have 4 possible levels and they decide very early who gets to make it into the project leader roles.

It is what it is

Business Outlook

Pros

Epic is freshman chemistry 101 for the working world. Anyone can apply but its a weeder company; if you don't belong or you just aren't smart enough you'll fail.

Cons

Don't expect to climb any ladders unless you are a developer. Your department head's boss is a developer; regardless of your role.
