I work 10-15 hours per week at the highest pay rate available in my department, with no chance to earn more. After taxes on average I take home less than $2000/month that's $24,000 a year. No where close to $91,000!! They do not have the clientele to support one instructor making that much. Our studio on average has 2-3 instructors scheduled in at one time, and no one's schedule is completely booked. Don't know anyone that's making $91,000 from Equinox Pilates.

You are treated like a tool instead of a human being. You are expected to work 60+ hours without complaint. They do not enforce breaks, and many times hold it against you if you take an hour break during a 9-10 hour shift. At the end of the month, management will force you to stay past your scheduled shift (without any notice on expected end time) working you for 12-15 hours a day for 3-4 days straight. There is extremely little room for vacation time or time off in general. They will not schedule you two days off in a row, because they do not believe that leads to a productive work environment. Management acknowledges and accepts that there is a 90% turnover in this role, and they find that acceptable. This is not a job you should expect to work for more than 1-2 years. The company does not put effort into talent retention or people services. They work you until you're completely burnt out.
