Pros

You get to work with big accounts right away. The product is easy to sell due to its strong recognition in the market. Market research is a fascinating industry—you’ll learn a lot about growth strategies, how companies operate, and get to work with data and numbers. It’s a perfect place to start your career; working for Euromonitor opens doors to many other opportunities. There are great additional benefits, such as increasing annual leave year after year, and the option to take 3 months off after 5 years of service or 6 months off after 10 years.

Cons

A lot of people mentioned that employees tend to stay at the company for decades, which is both a good and a bad thing. It's good because it shows the company creates the right environment to retain people; it's bad because it can lead to stagnation. You often find teams led by people who have only ever worked at Euromonitor and are unaware of innovations happening outside the company. In my personal opinion, the commission structure could be a bit fairer, but my colleagues don’t seem to complain. I have to be honest—there’s limited onboarding and sales training. I’ve heard this from several people across sales departments. You have to be extremely proactive, talk to people, and ask questions. Be prepared to swim or sink. The sales systems are very outdated and complicated. They’re also admin-heavy, although the company is working on improvements.

Pros

Opportunity to be exposed to large volumes of work and responsibility within only a few months of joining

Cons

Opaque promotion processes; good work is rewarded with more work and not much else; bangalore is treated as a cost centre for business from other offices; calculus of analyst time on a project is fraudulent since regular 12+ hour work days are not reflected in costing to client; burnout and long hours are considered 'part of the job; mangement rarely takes responsibility, making poor decisions but assigning blame to project teams when things go wrong; "client is king" mentality prevents senior client PoCs from raising concerns around cost and timeline, instead choosing to dump unreasonable expectations of analysts, even when clients' needs are not particularly time sensitive; the company's hiring model seems to rely on high churn rate, getting 90% of the work done from new hires that will quit within 2-3 years.

Pros

Interesting work, Good People, broad opportunities, get on with job and stay away from corporate BS and it is good place to be

Cons

Hung up on woke policies and too much focus on non-core activities. Very top-heavy management: pretense of employee comms but actually dictatorial
