They are more concerned with the waxer speeding and getting as many clients done in a shorter period of time. Too much pressure.

You Will Never Be the Perfect Wax Specialist, and They Demand Perfection

Aside from my trainer, who was always having a bad day, the other wax specialists were fun to work with. I was able to treat this job as a training experience, and hone my waxing skills.

Cons

The same music is played over and over all day everyday. So evil. I felt like I was in a torture chamber! It seems this place is popping up everywhere, and it's not a good thing. EWC wants to con you (their employee), and your guests. You must sell their products that don't work, and be the perfect wax specialist for way less than $45k a year (did the employment ad you answered say you will make $45k-$65k a year?). You will never make $45k a year here, no matter how hard you work, or how much you sell. It's not a good fit for anyone with self respect. All the EWC's are franchises, and the goal of this place is to make as much money as possible. Management does not care about you. If you land this job, make sure you are looking for other opportunities. Use EWC as a training ground. You'll master some good waxing techniques, and be able to take those with you. If you are a genuine person who cares about your clients, this place will turn you into a stressed out monster. Leave as soon as something better comes along. One of my sweet and hard-working coworkers got fired, so consider it a compliment if they let you go.

Amazing Company - Love the Job - You get what you put in!

Work with a group of women who also love what they do. You meet a lot of new people & get to work in a fast paced, low stress environment. You get paid hourly (which is great because most places in the beauty industry are commission only), your tips & commission on both services and products. If you work hard and care about your job & guests - they will be loyal to you. The wax is amazing and so are the products .. it is a win win!
