Word of caution

Pros

They train you on sales, if applied to other industries can work but you will notice most reps only make it a year or less. Better than selling insurance

Cons

If you go to work for them, you will discover IF YOU ARE NOT A TOP 50 sales rep they wont listen to anything you have to say or advice you have, despite, having sales experience. Matter of fact they don’t want you to talk at all to other sales rep because you can’t even make the top 50 list. Reality is they run each branch differently and you may not make the top 50 list because of things like you don’t have a good enough recruiting plan, the office I worked for only recruited part time so most jobs couldn’t even be filled and Im talking about basic jobs that only require a driver license, or your territory size makes no sense. If you are outside sales , you don’t get credit unless the inside recruiting person fills the you job you brought in. Thing is they burn you out, benefit vary between franchises, I didn’t get vacay for the first year which lead to burnout. would also say work life balance is no fun, they pay you for 40 hrs but i regularly worked about 50 and was expected to attend networking events at night. Just so someone else might know what they are getting into.

Poor Management

Pros

VERY nice conferences at least 3 times a year.

Cons

For a company that specializes in "HR Solutions" they sure do have quite a few "HR Problems." -Their management/operations teams are not adequately trained in handling HR issues. The franchisees/owners seem to be clueless regarding proper procedures for dealing with employees. -Many locations have higher than average turnover. And while they are losing employees faster than most industries, they are claiming they can help their clients resolve THEIR turnover issues. If they are so knowledgeable about reducing turnover, it seems they would fix the revolving door they have in their own offices. -Horrible benefits. -A large chunk of the money they are charging clients is going back to the corporate headquarters and wasted on lavish conferences and perks.

Avoid using Express Employment Professionals

Pros

There are no pros for working with Express.

Cons

The people are Express are anything but professional. What they are is rude and unqualified to do their jobs. They are only concerned with getting money in the door. They have a complete lack of ethics and will continue to try placing you in jobs you are not qualified for. At one point, they actually wanted me to lie on a job interview. They don't care how the workers are treated, what they need, or if they are even qualified for the job, as long as they get their cut. They refuse to post all of the jobs available at a location. They pick and choose which ones they want you to go to. They will only set you up for one job at a time and if the employer decides not to use Express, they do not have another job lined up for you.
