I don't see any good reason to work at Farfetch.

Cons

I worked there for a couple of days only and ran away immediately and this is why: Supervisor acting like the CEO, horrible person controlling every move you make and not capable to do her job properly...

"Be Human" value doesn't exist

Pros

Until being laid off in July, we had an almost fully remote status which was great, it was definitely the best time of my life in terms of mental health. Work-life balance at its best!

Cons

When the 2023 Summer lay offs started, it was chaos! They closed the Boavista office, they implemented mandatory office work, fired more than 700 people, and compensations were frozen... Being laid off by Farfetch was the worst experience of my life, they gave me nothing in my compensation package, they forced me to make decisions with ultimatums and threats, the pressure to accept the deal was gigantic... all of this in a matter of 3 days because there was this absurd rush to get rid of us. I tried to negotiate my package as much as possible but in the end, there was no compromising by Farfetch... Terrible terrible experience. The Being Human value is only on paper, unfortunately, and only to serve as a banner for the company.

Pros

You can work with world class tech ( in the incorrect manner )

Cons

- incessant demand for overtime work. - poorly managed operation (most of them) - things are always running behind schedule. - there is always a crisis and the Crisis process is so bad. - The managers are pushing the “panic button” all the time. - you're promissed things that will not happen. - they did not pay bonus based on the excuse that the company did not fullfil the expectations but the only thing being done wrong is middle management and c level management and you're the one paying for all that
