      You're just an entry on a spreadsheet

      Pros

      They are trying to pay a bit more in order for people to stay as in 2019 a whole lot of people left. Still, the market offers more.

      Cons

      WFH is a lie. You need to have a good reason to stay at home, otherwise management requires you to be there, even if you don't produce at all. Corona virus isn't enough for management to close the office. You can work from home, but they keep telling everyone that you have to work and it is not vacation time. If you think people don't work just fire them, don't make the others suffer just because you hired below par developers. Every other known IT company closed the office, only Farfetch didn't.

We are also very proud and supportive of our flexible working policy at Farfetch, even more so at this difficult time. Remote work was already part of Farfetch ways of working and that's the reason why we've managed to adapt rapidly to this global disruptive situation that the entire world is facing. We're also sorry to read your comments about our management team. Our managers' development is instrumental in our people development strategy and just last year we launched a Global Manager Training program to equip all of our managers with the tools to support and grow their teams and we will continue to focus on building great leaders at Farfetch.

      C levels live on an island

      Pros

      People I work with are very friendly. Tries to have a quite modern stack.

      Cons

      Although they promote their career ladder, as in most companies, it's hard to grow. Completely bloated of people. It would be easier to work with half the people. Many niches are being created and instead of people work for the same objectives, these niches are starting to compete and in conflict. C levels seem lost or living on an island. Engineering clusters used to have some freedom on their stack choices. You don't have it anymore. Grew without planning or control.

We are working hard to improve communication and transparency - we have recently introduced regular Global All Hands where the whole Executive Team are present to answer live Q&A, giving Farfetchers the chance to ask any and all questions. And we have refined our OKR (objective and key result) framework to make sure we are all working on fewer but more focused priorities.       Good intentions but disappointing overall

      Good people, great working environment, the culture and values of the company are great in theory

      Cons

      A lot of people with management or senior titles but real lack of leaders and motivators, progression seems superficial, low salary, poor communication between offices

But we're sorry to receive your negative feedback - we've recently launched a new GO FAR framework to make sure that all Farfetchers have a clear understanding of career growth and total rewards at Farfetch. We're also working on improving communication between our offices by introducing a greater number of global business updates and internal communication tools.
