Ultra disappointing experience

Business Outlook

Pros

Some smart and kind colleagues at the team level • The company brand is strong externally and looks good on a CV • Work itself can be interesting if you’re in the right role • Exposure to international teams and markets

Cons

Inclusion is largely performative rather than practiced. Voices from outside the UK—particularly Bulgaria—are rarely meaningfully included in decision-making. • A noticeable number of people in senior or influential roles appear to be learning on the job, often without the necessary experience or clarity to lead effectively. • Standards across teams are inconsistent, and much of the work is delivered at a mediocre level due to lack of clear ownership, direction, and accountability. • Processes are often inefficient and reactive, giving the impression that strategy is being figured out as the company goes rather than thoughtfully planned. • This environment can be frustrating for capable employees who expect professionalism, competence, and growth-oriented leadership.

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We’re glad to hear you valued the people you worked with, the strength of the Fastmarkets brand, and the international exposure the role provided. We also recognise the concerns you’ve raised. Building a truly inclusive, global culture is a priority for us and requires action, not just intent. We have a very active D&I committee, ongoing wellbeing initiatives, and regular global town halls in which every office participates, helping ensure visibility, connection, and shared dialogue across regions. Listening to our colleagues is central to how we improve. Alongside our annual engagement survey and regular pulse surveys—where we share results and act on feedback—we are further strengthening our listening mechanisms through the launch of an employee forum. We’ve also recently launched a new global flexible benefits platform, designed to ensure transparency and fairness across locations. So its both disappointing and factually incorrect to read your feedback. We’re proud that our Bulgaria office continues to grow, with more senior roles being filled locally, reflecting both the strength of talent and the trust placed in that team. Feedback like this is important in helping us continue to raise standards, so thank you for sharing your thoughts

Not for neurodivergent people

Business Outlook

Pros

High pay, good insurance benefits

Cons

When the CEO meets in person with a whole region and during the day has two meltdowns to publicly humiliate two people in the room for very minor perceived social infractions (like trying to take notes), it's no coincidence that it happened to be against the two autistic women in the room and no one else. When the CEO is setting the example as bully in chief, it doesn't matter how progressive the company wants to pretend to be. This attitude trickles through all of the management. Also disappointing to see that the board is following the advice and actions of a mentor whose leadership cost his last company their standing as the best in industry. The super rapid cost increases temporarily raise revenue but undermine the customer base over time and encourages market entry of competing companies.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. I take any feedback relating to inclusion and leadership behaviour seriously. At Fastmarkets, we are explicit about our commitment to creating an inclusive environment where colleagues with different working styles, communication preferences, and needs feel respected. That commitment applies to everyone in the organisation, including me as CEO. Leadership involves continuous learning. If any interaction I have had has been experienced in a way that felt inconsistent with our values, that matters and is something I would want to understand and reflect on. If you would be open to it, I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this directly. Alternatively, our HR team is always available to ensure concerns are reviewed appropriately and confidentially. Thank you again for raising your concerns. — Raju Daswani, CEO
