General positive environment saddled with growing pains
Pros
- Genuine effort to make employees feel welcome - Genuine effort to improve processes - Interesting work paradigms - My opinion matters - I feel ownership of my work - I can set clear work/life boundaries without feeling guilt-tripped - Remote first - Fair salary
Cons
- For a worldwide company, many benefits feel very US-centric - Being a recently formed company, many processes have gaps and that means some less common issues either take too much time to get resolved or are forgotten - It feels like leadership positions are filled through nepotism - There's a tendency for cult of personality - Internal communication is a hit or miss - Lower than industry average employee male/female ratio, which is only as high because most women are in non-development roles, in the dev teams the gender disparity is abysmal - there's a higher % of women who have left the company than the % of currently employed - No pay raise (especially to match inflation) after more than 1y
