Pay is below the market rate, the living wage scheme only makes real impact for entry level or junior level roles, it means absolutely nothing for experienced professionals as Future will pay you lower than the market rate.
Some managers are incompetent and some have said horrible things about others and yet they are still there. Absolutely disgusting behaviour! Manager workshops are implemented to overcome many management problems and to build a better management across the business. However, how will Future measure success of these workshops? Has it made a real difference or is it just wasting people’s time as many managers are super busy! Also, there is a lack of communication from upper managers, they do not seem to care to share information that may be relevant or important for others within the team. They obviously do not care about their team members’ feelings and development. There is no point going to HR either, they will do nothing.
Future is great at expanding their empire and buying brands. However, the implementation and process of migrating people or brands to Future are appalling, many people have been made redundant or have left due to the restructure of teams and moving people around. Future does not value their people, you are just a number to them in my humble opinion.
One of their values is “we all row the boat” some people actually row the boat harder than others and yet they would take the credit and not actually value the people who did the most work. This value is almost representing some sort of slave ship in my opinion. You row together to get to a destination and despite overcoming all the sea storms you cannot reach to the end goal because Future have let go of you. To Future is all about profiting and always act on their own self-interest.
Future is great to get your foot in the door and work with great creative brands. But do not stay for too long as they will not value you and some managers definitely play the favouritism game.
