There wasn't a lot of flexibility in terms of location/hours.

Future grows by acquiring other profitable companies (certainly when I was there). In my case, the company I had previously worked for that they took over had nothing to do with publishing whatsoever, so they never really knew what to do with us. Unfortunately all the rumours about how they treated employees of newly acquired companies turned out to be true. People were let go, or allowed to leave, and not replaced. My department was restructured multiple times and my team went from 5 people to 1 (just me) in the space of a few months. I ended up with a manager that had no experience in data and analysis, so was unable to offer any support. Pay and bonuses were poor There really was a 'grow at all costs' mentality from the exec.
