      Don’t value people’s work, and not progression at all

      Video teams and social teams are in the dark ages. Constantly reliant on freelancers and dismissing in-house talent. Was told 'social media is new' by a very senior colleague. Not aware or interested in trends, community or online/internet culture and how that can enhance their respective publications' social platforms and performance. Very much believe they are something they are not.

      I could not wait to get out of there so I suppose it drove my motivation

      Cons

      Leadership was awful, uninspiring and self-serving. The lack of strategy was astounding. Their big plan for growth was via acquisition, with no ability to functionally integrate new teams/brands into the business.
