A great place to work that's on the up.

Pros

Great company to work for, offers lots of opportunities for upward progression and growth. Feels like there's a lot of forward momentum at the momentum and recent share price increases are a great indication of our relative success vs the wider publishing market. Hard work is definitely rewarded.

Cons

Cafe Food is hit and miss. Would be great to have more out of work company benefits e.g. deals agreed with local businesses for discounts for Future Employees.

Cheap, blame and dictate culture, unfeeling to staff

Pros

hhhhhmmm.... thinking..... still thinking.....aaaahhh..... Oh yes, they're in the centre of Bath - that's a con. There are some great staff there.

Cons

Always looking for cheapest ways of doing everything, how to cut costs to zero (including not getting staff in so over-resourcing current staff who end up working ridiculous hours and don't get a thanks). Blame games and non-collaboration. Current staff disillusioned, don't trust staff and fed up.

Pros

Bagels on Fridays. Ample parking. Nice views of the Bay. Relaxed atmosphere. Close to the 101 freeway. Food trucks near by.

Cons

Parent company in the UK which made communication less than optimal along with cultural differences. Both UK and US businesses contracted heavily, shutting down publications, laying off scores of people. The US had been operating without any real vision of its own and lacked courage or the ability to move its products forward. It may be different now.
