      Antiquated, like stepping backwards 30yrs

      Pros

      Some genuinely great colleagues who strive to do their best with what they are given

      Cons

      Inherent culture of bullying through all levels of management. ”Leaders” standing on people to progress their own careers. Senior leaders unwilling to respond to reported abuse of power by management. Many colleagues have left “under a cloud” despite impeccable track records prior to working in the department.

      R&d senior leaders need to change

      Pros

      Very nice and smart peers and scientists to work with that consistently go above and beyond, these people are also very patient with consistent changes in decision making.

      Cons

      Senior leaders do not exhibit the exemplified behaviors of the company and are not held accountable. These leaders cannot make swift decisions and go round and round causing constant rework for lower level employees. This is leading to a toxic work environment with lack of transparency and trust which goes against company values, as a very long term employee, I have never seen Gsk like this and can no longer turn a blind eye to these bad behaviors. This toxic culture is rampant and against our values as we deliver for patients

      A safe harbor for low performers and misbehaved managers

      Employee benefit, training, good infrastructure and SOP in place Good work life balance, semi-retirement work style

      Cons

      Low pay, below industry average. Easy life for incompetent slackers, full of buzzy words but no accountabilities on timely delivery, poor management with favoritism, not a place for high achievers
