Pros

Good benefits , especially online learning applications available if you liked to do self learning

Cons

You can faced re-org couple times in a year and they keep stressing you out for the job security while you working hard. I know so many talented people left just because of the leader is keep demoralising people with outsourcing roles and job security.

Pros

Looks good on the CV. Shares and bonus scheme are good.

Cons

The toxic culture stems from the board. Not only the appointment of Dame Emma, but the introduction of Hal Barron and Iain McKay have had a detrimental impact on the company. Experienced staff are leaving in droves to companies with better management and better pay. Mr McKay was instrumental in the closure of the final salary pension, this seems to be ‘his thing’ as he did the same at HSBC. The talk is good but there’s no commitment. ‘Putting people first’ certainly doesn’t apply to their staff. And as for Dame Emma, who has planned to travel to COP26 in her private jet before others told her this was rather hypocritical… well. What do you expect? When Hal spends £800k on private jet flights to and from the US! The split will be interesting, especially waiting to see which Pharma company will come in and take over the Rx/Vx ‘New GSK’. I’ll watch with great interest!
