Pros
- Strong IPs - Flexible Hours - Big studio space - Met some friendly coworkers during my long years there - Lots of amenities around (food, gym, groceries, coffee, shops, CNE, gotransit, etc. (This was probably the best perk).
Cons
- Bad Management (Art Managers and Producers especially). They have been creating a toxic environment for years especially with poor planning that has forced staff to work overtime in the past years. Once you've been there for a while, they either fire you, lay you off and find cheaper labor with better skillsets. They Pay no attention to their current staff even for those that were loyal. One time, they hired a chunk of people in a month for certain roles that made no sense and then months down the road, they let go a batch of more people that have been there longer. - Compensation isn't at industry standards either. Higher ups seem like they pocket all the bonus money while staff just gets scraps and pizza parties. - No long term growth. Only the Broom. - Peer Evaluations are a joke. They rate you for every skillset you have and it will feel like you are being targeted. Feedback and goals are just terribly organized and the action goals they give don't work or make any sense at times.
