- Good People - Decent starting point - Fruits!

Cons

- Awful management - Weird company culture - HR is nonexistent and useless - HQ will make your life miserable, so get ready - Projects can be changed and ruined within a few illogical emails - Lazy management has been there for more than 10 years and ruins the whole working environment - Hard to get career opportunities or to move inside the company

Soul sucking experience

Pros

One of the very few game studios in New York City, decent job security. Strong art team, even if being ridiculously held back.

Cons

No leadership, no creativity, horrible bonuses, no room for growth, horrible projects, continuously micro managed from France .... I could go on, but basically imagine the TV show "The Office" and apply it to games development.

Pros

Relaxed atmosphere. Middle management trusts your ability to learn and is ok with trial and error. Possibility to move up quickly if you are working on the right projects.

Cons

Crazy turnover : people tend to leave after less than a year. Low wages for developpers, almost no training. Very political company : what counts isn't the results of one studio but who your studio manager is friends with. Ressource allocation depends on politics too, resulting in a vicious circle : favoured studios can hire talented people, while the others do not have the ressources to get better. Bureaucratic : every single initiative needs to be approved by dozens of people resulting in crazy threads with 20 people from all over the world giving their opinion, usually resulting in status quo. No company culture: I still wonder what are the core values of Gameloft.
