Fun place, but bad company

Pros

Fun place to work, if you don't mind working 12 hour days.

Cons

All direction comes from Paris, and this is not always helpful. If you are not french, you will not move up in the company

Pros

Montreal studio offers a 4,5 days schedule where employees don't work on Friday afternoons. This is by far the best perk they offer. Employees can also enjoy free coffee at the office. They also often have free pastries that are delicious. I sometimes receive free goodies. The Summer BBQ and Christmas parties are nice too. Most people are fun and respectful. The office is located not too far from Jean-Talon market and there are some nice restaurants around.

Cons

I had the worst boss I ever had in all my career. When he's not micro managing the whole project, he doesn't hesitate to denigrate some employees. A lot of people are leaving Disney Dreamlight Valley at the moment because of the awful work conditions and the necessary pressure on the production team. Salaries at Gameloft Montréal are among the lowest, if not the lowest in Montreal gaming industry. It seems everyone knows about the management issues on the project, but no one seems to care about improving workers conditions.

Pros

Really dynamic. Goal oriented. Fantastic people. Fast turnaround. Good pay. If you worked there for years, you are ready for anything after. It's like a boot camp. Of course, you develop strong bond with your peers since it kinda feel like you are going to the front line of a war together.

Cons

Bad vision. No respect for people from top management for working hours or common sense. Some decisions are took too fast decisions without thinking about repercussion. No creativity.
