      Pros

      Good pay for area and a stable job

      Cons

      Company focus on everything but making a profit Safety is important but it becomes a culture of fear when it is over done. Too much unimportant tasks taking up time. Alway messing with employees pay making them mad. Always a low stock price compared to other steel makers.

      Pros

      Large steel manufacturing enterprise with a global reach. Many projects on the go, keeps you busy and lots of training available to learn. Depending on your area of expertise you can develop your career and move within the company even if it includes relocation to another country. Some great Co - workers, people very much focused on doing their job and growing thr company.

      Cons

      Hiring and promotion is based on time served within the corporation rather than area of expertise. As a result confusion reins because you have people who are good people placed in the wrong position and leading with wrong mentality. North American IT is being run mostly by non - IT folk who have no clue how to run an IT enterprise and are therefore focused on numbers than developing people and technology. A bully mentality is the order of the day. Work to life balance though touted everywhere within the company is a complete galaxy.

      Pros

      The Pros left several years ago. Bonus structure has changed more times than the NY Yankees Roster, along with the staff. Forget the smoke , this place is on fire. Nucor is taking Gerdau's lunch and Sr. Management is lost in charts , graphs, and the world of giving managers books on how to act . Really ? What's next hiring someone to teach them how to sell in the market ?

      Do the investigation for yourself. Ask how many people have gone in the recent few years...Game ,set and match.
