      Full of great thinkers and exceptional people in the field

      Cons

      middle management is not grounded in reality, they mostly take orders and run with it, creativity can be rare at times, new shiny stuff and everyone's after it without thinking left or right, they lose sight of what was actually generating revenue and end up with fluffy POCs which never see production.

      Pros

      Interesting projects, Stocks add value with time, compensation is good and benefits are really good. Technology is top-tier.

      Cons

      Google Cloud is not a "great place to work" as overall Google is, and Google Cloud Sales is the worst part of Google Cloud. Highly political culture, mid-managers add little value and have little control, very few promotion opportunities and even the few opportunities are not so merit-based but more based on "who you know". Top management usually comes from Microsoft (the old guard, pre-Nadella) or Oracle, so do expect that kind of culture. Overall is an average place to work, not bad for sure, but far from the generic reviews that the rest of Google gets
