      My employment experience at Great Clips (Hermitage location and Grove City location) has been nothing less than "GREAT"

      Pros

      Great Clips has provided me a great stress free work environment that is a pleasure to go to work. Management is professional, helpful, and always there to help you be successful. The other stylist are friendly, fun, and professional. Our franchisees are always working toward business growth to increase everybody's income potential. They also have made themselves available by phone for any comments , questions or concerns. Overallin my experience Great Clips is. very employee friendly company and is a pleasure to work for for one and the income potential is also Great for the serious stylist that has true passion for their career.

      Cons

      No ongoing education to stay current on the latest cutting trends all though the other stylist and management are very helpful and accomodating to get you on point if there is a cut or area your struggling with.

      Pros

      Hourly plus tips, they bring the clients to you.

      Cons

      Little room for advancement, long hours, mediocre pay. Very factory/assembly line like. Expected to do quality hair cuts in under 20 minutes... It is possible but it is not always the best idea. Some people need more than 20 minutes ... If times were over the limit we would be reprimanded

      Pros

      I like the fast pace enviroment. You do not need a clientele to work here. You make good money. The whole brand how we do things really works I love everything about it.

      Cons

      Our franchisee doesn't offer health care but a lot of places don't it's expensive. And it would be nice if we could figure out a way for customers to sign themselves in. Sometimes it gets very busy and we take turns leaving our custome to sign someone in.
