We are sorry you had this experience with your manager. Because each salon is independently owned and operated, the best person to address your comments would be the franchisee. If you would like follow up, please email Jeanne@greatclips.com with the salon location where you were employed and details. We will forward it to the franchisee. Thank you.

Pros

Always busy, no sitting around being bored Built in clientele, no need to recruit No appointments, means not losing money with a no-show No hair coloring, for those who perfer the barbering side. Clip Notes system, makes it easy to determine desired haircut Great Clips sponsors a lot of programs and charities, including free haircuts for veterans on veterans day, and free haircuts for those battling cancer Management is flexible with requesting time off Paid holidays (3 a year) Tips

Cons

Terrible pay, minimum wage without raises Open 7 days a week Open very late on weekdays Generally set schedules are not accepted Schedule changes every week Unrealistic expectations (13-17 minute haircuts, expect to earn $35+/hr for the shop while you only get paid minimum wage)

Pros

I was able to leave the store for lollipop runs which happened to be the highlight of my day

Cons

-was not respected by most of stylists -no former training on tills (worked there 6 months and still didn't know how to cash people -never told my schedule -had to clean glass shelves that weren't anchored to the wall, they fell on me a few times and the stylists didn't even flinch or ask if I was okay -I had to find my own replacement when I left and when I went on a predetermined vacation. (I was 15) and then had to train them.
