Pros

The environment is fast-paced and driven by efficiency. I've worked at all 7 locations in my city and each one is run well and by a caring franchisee. The stores are closed on most major holidays and don't stay open too late. The pay is great! There are a lot of opportunities for advancement and lots of bonuses/commission/incentive to be made.

Cons

Required to work on weekends, required to be able to close. Open on some holidays. You can get in trouble for "redos" (meaning when a customer comes back after you've cut their hair) even if its something as stupid as the customer decided to go shorter.

Very busy, time flew by. Met great clients daily. Co workers were great.

Cons

Franchise owner never cut hair ( of course). 12-17 minute cut times are not reasonable. Location had three assistant managers to micromanage staff entire time. No breaks. Half of the customers smelled awful and would not pay shampoo up charge. Pressure to sell products for low commission.
