Pros

great benefits that they grant immediately, unlimited vacation, slick in technology and office look, lots of young, fun people. nice to be part of a growing and "sexy" company. The company isn't afraid to do things its own way so no stuffy corporate feel.

Cons

Changed from a fun and innovative place that was excited by the growth, to a total grind where its all about the almighty dollar and squeezing every cent from sales people. They foster an unnaturally competitive environment where people who bring in the most money are treated like gods and those that just bring in lots of money are treated as subhuman. The worst part is it's all luck based on when you got in and what market you have been assigned to work on (the product has attracted so much buzz a monkey could sell it) So they mistake blind luck for talent. It is also growing so fast that there is a total lack of communication. Major changes happen all the time and it can feel like you're always doing things wrong because no one ever told you that things have changed.

Pros

Unlimited vacation days- enough said. The company has enough faith in its employees to trust them to make their own decisions on how many vacation days they should be allowed. Eccentric and fun environment- There's not telling what the next day in the office will bring. The growth of the company has been incredible since I have started. There are always amazing new ideas connected to a fun quirky sense of humor that are out there but brilliant. The atmosphere is very fun young and vibrant. Great place to work and I would recommend this company to anyone.

Cons

As previously stated, not a lot of structure

Pros

Groupon allows you the freedom to be who you are, which allows a large open forum to share ideas no matter how far out they are....and potentially allowing you to drive your own career path. The world really is your oyster here at this stage of the game. As long as you are doing your job, you can take as much paid time off as needed. It has to be one of the funnest environments to work in. It inspires success. Groupon employs some of the best when it comes to customer service, marketing, management, & editorial.

Cons

My only real gripe, and for some this could be a big one, is they don't have a very structured fair compensation plan for sales yet and no match on 401k. In regards to compensation, salaries vary across the board even when success & experience are equal. In addition, commission paid out can be very dependent on the market you work in. There are definitely some sales that work just as hard, are just as skilled, are just as experienced, and make much less in commission than others (and by less we are comparing thousands of dollars a month).
