Pros

Hired in with 24 other reps, by week 2 only 12 remained. After 2 months, zero of my onboarding group are still employed by Groupon. Not to mention the company is being sued by the Italian government for tax related incidents so they are panicking and restructuring. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CURRENT JOB FOR THIS

Cons

See all of the above.

Pros

Remote and freedom to work freely

Cons

I was fired during the trail run, I wasn’t aware of my numbers, to keep up to the minimum goal. Manager was useless and barely available. Fired in 2-3 weeks before I was able to land a deal. I had 2-3 pending but most merchants are not interested in Groupon and thinks of it as a scam or uncool and who uses it is large scale businesses but the smaller businesses are no longer in support of this service, very angry or rude merchants who think of it as a disservice vs a beneficial service. Very low pay and very incompetent staff.

Pros

Work from home/work life balance, nice coworkers

Cons

- high expectations for new hirees, everyone put on PiP or quit within the first 6 months even on a ramp. Need more robust training but so much pressure for the very few trainers - Lots of hiring overseas - expect your boss and their boss in BD to be working until 1am their time - No company culture - no morale even though everyone is nice - No chance of getting promoted. None. No one has gotten promoted within BD in a few years unless you're start leading a new team for another manager who quit - Said they give prizes of Groupon bucks, but I know a teammate who never got their's from last December - Really low morale. The constant change is necessary at a lot of places, but not enticing when it lowers your chance of getting paid anything but your low base
